McAlvey Merchant & Associates Elevate Talented Members to Leadership Posts
Lansing—— McAlvey Merchant & Associates, a premier lobbying firm in Lansing, is elevating Maureen Watson-Bolger and Bill Jackson to the position of Partner starting January 1, 2023.
“In celebrating our 25th anniversary this year, I am proud of the firm we have built, and it would not have been possible without the impressive talents of Maureen and Bill and their tireless dedication to serving our clients,” said Founder Jeff McAlvey. “In many ways they are already partners, and I am excited to make it official.”
Maureen Watson-Bolger joined the firm in 2013 after extensive work on in the Legislature. She specializes in appropriations and has an extensive portfolio that includes Oakland University, the city of East Lansing, SAP, ClassWallet, as well as others. Maureen and her husband Matt live in Dewitt. They have two daughters and a granddaughter.
Bill Jackson joined the firm in 2011, taking a different route to lobbying, coming from the corporate sector with deep ties to the outdoor advertising industry. He is a policy expert in multiple areas including conservation, local government, and outdoor advertising. His portfolio includes the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan United Conservation Clubs, the Outdoor Advertising Association of Michigan, Ducks Unlimited, and more. Bill and his wife Mary live in Grand Rapids and have a daughter and three sons.
