McAlvey & Associates was founded in 1997 by Jeff McAlvey as a full-service governmental consulting firm. In 2003 Rusty Merchant joined the firm. He became a partner in 2007 and the name was officially changed to McAlvey, Merchant & Associates. Jeff and Rusty have a proven track record as they specialize in individualized, strategic work for each client.

There are many good firms in Lansing, but we believe that the lobbyist you choose reflects on you as much as our clients reveal who we are as a firm.  We have made the decision out of personal preference, to not represent certain industries such as tobacco, alcohol or gambling interests.
